The Taste of Csikágó

Bite-sized stories around a shared table
Progetto selezionato dal Neighborhood Committee of Care di Budapest – Szendvicsbár

Taste of Csikágó is a community art project from Budapest that connects neighbours through sharing of food and memories. During our project, originally realised in a popular district of Budapest, called Csikágó, we collected stories, recipes and flavours from the local residents and passers-by to create a collective monument made of images, voices, and bites. In Milan, we present ourselves with a popup pancake performance: we will cook vegan apple pancakes that evoke both the flavours of our grandmothers’ kitchens and today’s sustainable eating practices. While cooking and tasting together, conversations, story-sharing and new connections will unfold.
